A1: Taking a test like TOEFL can be stressful for many students. Unlike the ACT or SAT, TOEFL is a computer-based test. This alone makes many people nervous. If I was took give a suggestion. I strongly believe that the best thing a student can do is to take practice test beforehand, like Red-Rock TOEFL mock tests. By doing so, this enables the student to be familiar with the format of the test and get used to the length.
A2: Reading: 29, Listening: 30, Speaking: 26, Writing: 29. Since I took many practice tests beforehand at RedRock, I didn’t think the real TOEFL test was too hard for me. I thought the listening part was the easiest of all. I took a good amount of notes and was focused when the audio files played. I struggled the most on the speaking part. There were times where I ran out of time or I had time remaining. The most important thing is to speak loudly, clearly, and continuously. About the writing part, it went pretty smooth for me. I would say that the student should not try to come up with something smart. The student only needs to focus on the basics things to get a good score on writing. The basic things are: structure, organization, grammar, and vocabulary. RR redrock provide us some TOEFL writing templates 版模 for reference.
A3: I thought that TOEFL was pretty long and boring. There were times were I almost fell asleep. The best thing that a student can do is to go to bed early the night before taking TOEFL and have a nice breakfast before taking TOEFL
A4: I started my preparation at RR 紅石國際教育中心two weeks prior to the test. I took a RR TOEFL mock test every day to ensure that I was familiar with the format and questions. I also took some TOEFL classes at Red Rock. Lucas was able to identify my weaknesses and help me to improve. He appointed Peter Barban to train me on the speaking part of the test. By doing so, I gained confidence and my score improved. Tim, another teacher at RR, gave me invaluable tips. Tim’s tips helped me unleashed my potential.
A5, There were about 30 people at the test center. Overall, the test center was organized and the staffs were friendly. Since I speed through the reading and listening part of the test, I was able to take the speaking part ahead of other test takers. So when I did the speaking part, the room was quiet. However, the room did become noisy once everyone started the speaking part.
A6: Redrock TOEFL機經definitely helped! It successfully predicted the questions that were on the speaking part.
A7: I have to say that I benefited a lot from my 1 on 1 TOEFL course at RR Redrock. Peter Barban trained me on the speaking part. He was professional and patient. On the Red-rock mock test, I scored 20 on the speaking part but improved to 26 after taking Peter's 1 on 1 tutoring class. The result speaks for itself. another Red-rock TOEFL teacher Tim gave me tips on taking the test and encouraged me. He made me believe that I can get a good score and helped me get 30 on the listening part.
