(Jerry's tips)
My personal tips on ACT writing:
1. Practice with the RedRock ACT writing template to get familiarized with the flow of the essay (know your transitions words)。
2. Spend no more than 30 seconds to draw a T graph or a compare & contrast graph to decide which side you are going to stick to (obviously you should choose the side with more reasons and examples that you draw down, and the weaker and fewer side’s reason can be later use as the counter argument).
3. In order to make your supporting examples solid, an imaginary friend is definitely necessary。
4. LUCAS told us counter-argument plays a major role in ACT writing.
remember to tie back to your side and always remember not to attack your opponent’s side 。 And a well-developed counter-argument paragraph is a must.
5. A well conclusive ending is important so try not to rush your conclusion at the end (I would end the last sentence with a farewell kiss) 。
6. Most IMPORTANTLY, always be confident and stay focus on what you are writing since this is the last section.
