Vincnet Lin ACT 31分心得分享

For ACT English Tips
· Dcontinuous English practice on ACT mock;  patterns will occur and become rational to you after you review your incorrect answers. 錯誤的選項也要作總結。
· Grammar compositions, as REDROCK Lucas said, such as comma splice and no “being” are fairly important to bear in mind. (total 25 Rules on ACT English taught at RR)
· Whenever you find that there are numbers within a paragraph, you have to be particularly focused on the content and flow of the paragraph. Questions will be asked about 1) additional information 2) separation of paragraph 3) re-ordering.
· For verb tenses, find the “actual” subject (Before prepositional phrases) and/or other verbs in the sentence for parallelism.

For ACT Reading:
· Reading is a part where continuously doing it would not be as sufficient as knowing “how” to do it.
· My ACT reading has improved, but I did not actually do “more practices.” Rather, I know more on what to focus on and carry that knowledge of “how” to do it to test as Lucas taught us "how" to solve Passage II/III/IV in a quicker way.
· I know it sounds unreliable, but the best way I’ve improved, is to find my own pace and strategy. Accepting others’ suggestions are great, but during test day, I/you will only remember the strategy I’ve/you’ve always practiced and believed with. So figure out the way to crack Reading  “yourself” is the “best” way.

Vincent's Conclusion:
· ACT is an ability test, meaning that continuously doing the test without reviewing would not be sufficient to improve scores. 要作自己的總結。
· Also, don’t practice the sections separately and think the scores you get on separately would be guaranteed during the test.
· Instead, go to just full-length mock tests at RR. ACT tests your ability, patience, and “energy” over a really long period of time.
